Job Requirements
- Culinary experience of 3 years preferred
- Cooking experience of 3 years preferred
- Kitchen management experience of 3 years
- Positive attitude and good leadership skills
- Experience in healthcare or senior living is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with dietitians and other staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to food safety and sanitation regulations
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as an executive chef
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- Familiar with the industry’s best practices
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs including MS Office and restaurant management software
- AS degree in culinary arts or related certificate is a plus
- Culinary experience of 3 years preferred
- Cooking experience of 3 years preferred
- Kitchen management experience of 3 years
Job Duties
- Organize and direct the culinary team and management staff
- Help in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus
- Work together with dietitians on menus and offerings for residents
- Produce high-quality plates both design and taste
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets quality standards
- Lead and develop team and manage conflicts with resolution
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedules and assess performance
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
