Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 years experience in culinary or food and beverage industry
  • or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in culinary or food and beverage professional area

Job Duties

  • Lead the kitchen management team
  • provide direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations
  • perform employee duties as needed or determine appropriate replacements
  • set performance standards and monitor subordinate performance
  • utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead and motivate staff
  • build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • ensure fair and consistent administration of property policies
  • supervise and coordinate cooks and workers engaged in food preparation

  • prepare and cook foods for regular and special functions

  • manage daily operations to meet quality and expectations
