Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited culinary institution program or equivalent degree
- Minimum of three to five years progressive experience in culinary or healthcare foodservice management
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative, and team-oriented culture
- Ability to develop methodologies for collecting and analyzing data, auditing program processes, and making recommendations
- Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, coaching, communication, and computer skills
- Personal integrity characterized by honesty, caring, and professionalism
- Self-starter able to manage multiple conflicting priorities
- Ability to delegate responsibilities and ensure objectives are met
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects concurrently
Job Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited culinary institution program or equivalent degree
- Minimum of three to five years of progressive experience in general culinary or healthcare foodservice management
- Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, and coaching skills
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, collaborative, and team-oriented environments
- Commitment to continuous improvement and challenging conventional thinking
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate staff aligned with organizational mission and values
- Experience developing methodologies for data analysis, quality audits, and performance improvement
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities independently
- Knowledge of regulatory standards including HAACP, Health Department, Joint Commission, and THS standards
Job Duties
- Oversee day-to-day management of culinary and sanitation activities for the Food and Nutrition Services (FANS) department
- Coordinate food production, ensuring quality, preparation, and presentation adhere to Trinity Health Standards
- Develop, implement, and monitor culinary programs including menus, cleaning practices, and competency audits
- Collaborate with clinical dietitians to support patient care and promote wellness initiatives
- Lead recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and supervision of culinary staff
- Participate in budget reviews and monitor program costs and efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory food safety, sanitation, and cash handling policies
- Develop and administer quality improvement programs to enhance customer satisfaction and program effectiveness
- Manage multiple projects with strong organizational and leadership skills
- Foster a positive, creative, and team-oriented work environment continuously
- Lead adherence to the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in all culinary operations
