Job Requirements

  • Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Food handler’s permit as required by state law and/or company standards
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to comply with company motor vehicle policy standards
  • Willingness to perform managerial duties and work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees
  • Food handler’s permit as required by state law and/or company standards
  • Basic computer skills - Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • May require driving responsibilities using company or personal vehicle
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must meet and comply with company motor vehicle policy standards

Job Duties

  • Interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and performance managing assigned staff
  • Scheduling hours, breaks, and meal periods
  • Maintaining monthly and annual budgets for Culinary Services department
  • Producing written documentation of monthly spend on food, supplies, and labor
  • Maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies, small wares, and table ware
  • Ensuring purchasing standards and maintaining positive vendor relationships
  • Ensuring food is prepared, stored, and served according to company standards and legal requirements
  • Meeting regularly with residents and family to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Providing staff training to ensure high levels of customer service
  • Coordinating front of house and back of house collaboration for exceeding food expectations
  • Working with community leadership to maintain customer satisfaction and health survey scores
  • Timely and accurate documentation and reporting
  • Maintaining employee satisfaction and engagement scores
  • Delegating tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality
  • Conducting department meetings and in-services
  • Ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Assisting in planning and execution of events
  • Collaborating with Community Sales team to market the community
  • Ensuring staff understand company expectations and first impression requirements
  • Acting as manager on duty as needed
  • Performing other duties as assigned
