Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five or more years culinary experience
  • Food handlers permit as required by state law or company standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to resolve customer and employee issues
  • Compliance with company motor vehicle policies

Job Qualifications

  • Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and employees
  • Food handlers permit as required by state law or Company standards
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • May require driving responsibilities with company or personal vehicle
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must comply with company motor vehicle policy standards

Job Duties

  • Interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and performance managing assigned staff
  • Scheduling of hours, breaks, and meal periods
  • Maintaining monthly and annual budgets for the Culinary Services department
  • Producing written documentation of monthly spend on food, supplies, and labor
  • Maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies, small wares, and tableware
  • Ensuring purchasing standards are maintained and appropriate vendors are used
  • Maintaining strong and positive relationships with vendors
  • Ensuring all food is prepared, stored, and served according to company standards and legal requirements
  • Meeting regularly with residents and family members to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Working with staff to provide high levels of customer service
  • Coordinating front of house and back of house staff collaboration
  • Working with community leadership to maintain customer satisfaction and health survey scores
  • Maintaining timely and accurate documentation and reports
  • Maintaining employee satisfaction and engagement scores
  • Delegating tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality
  • Conducting and participating in department meetings and in-services
  • Ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Assisting in planning and execution of special events and banquets
  • Collaborating with Community Sales team and staff to market the community
  • Ensuring staff understand company expectations and first impression requirements
  • Acting as manager on duty when required
  • Performing other duties as assigned
