Job Requirements

  • More than two years of post high school education but less than a four-year degree
  • five to ten years of related experience
  • advanced knowledge of food management
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to lift 30-35 pounds multiple times per shift
  • ability to kneel and stand for extended periods
  • full mobility for kitchen inspection
  • willing to work in temperature extremes ranging from -10 to over 100 degrees
  • compliance with safety and health regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Plan and manage kitchen staff procurement and food preparation
  • recommend menu and procedural changes
  • manage food and labor costs within budget constraints
  • adhere to standard operating procedures and food programs
  • recruit, train, and develop kitchen employees
  • monitor kitchen and equipment sanitation
  • develop and control departmental budget
  • implement menus and improve revenue and profit margins
  • enforce accident prevention program
