Job Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited culinary institution program or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of three to five years progressive experience in culinary or healthcare foodservice management
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative, and team oriented culture
  • Ability to develop methodologies for collecting and analyzing relevant data
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, coaching, communication, and computer skills
  • Personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring
  • Ability to be a self-starter and manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively and provide regular follow up

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited culinary institution program or equivalent degree

  • Effective delegation and follow up skills

Job Duties

  • Oversees day-to-day culinary and sanitation activities for the Food & Nutrition Services department
  • Provides operational and technical support to management stakeholders
  • Develops, implements, and coordinates core program systems like menus and cleaning practices
  • Participates in monthly budget reviews and prepares reports for senior management
  • Interviews, hires, trains, appraises, counsels, and supervises culinary staff
  • Develops and administers program quality evaluations and customer satisfaction surveys
  • Ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, cash handling policies, and quality improvement programs
