Job Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited culinary institution program or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of three to five years progressive experience in culinary or healthcare foodservice management
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative, and team-oriented culture
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, coaching, communication (verbal, written, interpersonal), and computer skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to challenge conventional thinking
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and demands
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively and provide regular follow-up

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited culinary institution program or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of three to five years progressive experience in general culinary or healthcare foodservice management
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, Health Department, Joint Commission, and THS food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with budget management and cost control
  • Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and the ability to inspire and motivate others

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day management of culinary and sanitation activities within the FANS department
  • Provide a positive, creative, and team-oriented work environment for kitchen staff
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate core program systems such as menus, food formularies, cleaning practices, and auditing tools
  • Participate in monthly budget reviews and prepare reports for senior management
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, safety, and presentation in accordance with THS and regulatory guidelines
  • Train, develop, and supervise staff including hiring, appraisals, counseling, and disciplinary actions
  • Collaborate with clinical dietitians to ensure optimal patient care and promote wellness initiatives
