Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Culinary or Hospitality
  • minimum of five years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience
  • hands-on chef experience
  • ServSafe certified
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office applications, email, and virtual communication tools
  • excellent communication skills

  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience
  • extensive catering experience
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • institutional and batch cooking experience
  • hands-on chef experience promoting food safety and consistent quality
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Email, Zoom or MS Teams, and internet
  • excellent communication skills
  • ServSafe certification

Job Duties

  • Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
  • follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
  • complete and utilize daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment
  • establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas
  • maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies
  • make decisions regarding utilization of leftover food products within company guidelines
  • comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures
  • follow safety policies and report occurrences
  • participate and attend departmental meetings and professional programs
