Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts preferred or associate degree and five years' Executive Chef experience
- Minimum five years' experience as an Executive Chef in hospitality industry
- Current ServSafe Certification
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage budgets and inventory
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including special events
- Physical ability to perform kitchen duties

Job Duties
- Assist in planning, preparation, and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
- Use innovation, imagination, originality, and talent to produce menus and recipes that utilize the highest quality ingredients within budget
- Understand and maintain monthly and annual budgets for Food & Beverage department including spend documentation
- Review and adjust menus for seasonal ingredients, supply chain, and cost changes
- Ensure purchasing standards and maintain vendor relationships
- Accurately report and submit monthly inventory of food & beverage supplies
- Interview, hire, and train culinary and back of house staff
- Manage and supervise culinary staff including scheduling, performance review, and corrective action
- Work with leadership to maintain customer satisfaction and health survey scores
- Ensure preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment and proper use
- Ensure dietary needs and restrictions are met
- Confirm food safety policies are practiced by kitchen staff
- Manage control of food preparation to minimize waste
- Oversee accurate daily record production
- Provide training in food preparation and presentation
- Collaborate with Hospitality Manager to ensure front and back of house cooperation
- Work with Marketing and Activities personnel to coordinate special events
- Meet regularly with residents and families to ensure satisfaction
- Advise leadership of any resident-related concerns
- Assist with kitchen and dining operations as needed
