Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Three plus years supervisory experience as Executive Chef or equivalent
- Seven plus years managing high-volume commercial kitchens
- Safe Food Handling certification
- Current or will obtain sanitation certification within six months
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Standing for extended periods
- Ability to work in a kitchen environment
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Proficiency in computer skills including inventory and purchasing management
- Excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Culinary arts degree preferred
- Current or obtain sanitation certification within six months
- Safe Food Handling certification
- Minimum three years supervisory experience as Executive Chef or equivalent
- Over seven years experience managing high-volume commercial kitchens
- Five plus years cooking experience in fine dining preferred
- Proficiency in time management and kitchen staff leadership
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and inventory
- Knowledge of culinary trends and food presentation
Job Duties
- Supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and service following recipes and portion sizes
- Assist with food preparation for special occasions and other department requests
- Direct daily food production operations including menu planning, purchasing, ordering, and inventory management
- Oversee food presentation, portioning, garnishing, and safe storage
- Order food and kitchen equipment
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen, storage, and dining areas
- Train kitchen staff on culinary skills and ensure ongoing certification compliance
