Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Current sanitation certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Safe Food Handling certification
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience
  • Over seven years managing high-volume kitchens
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in computer use for inventory and purchasing
  • Strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Culinary Arts degree preferred
  • Current sanitation certification or obtain within 6 months
  • Safe Food Handling certification
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience as Executive Chef or equivalent
  • Over seven years managing high-volume commercial kitchens
  • Experience in fine dining and culinary leadership preferred
  • Mastery of various kitchen stations and cooking methods
  • Proficient in time management and organization
  • Skilled in computer applications for purchasing and inventory
  • Strong kitchen and staff management record
  • Ability to perform mathematical functions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Supervises and oversees kitchen staff in food preparation and service
  • Assists in food preparation for other departments and special occasions
  • Ensures special diet orders are completed per guidelines
  • Directs daily food production operations including menu planning, purchasing, ordering and inventory
  • Oversees food portioning, garnishing, presentation and storage
  • Orders food and equipment
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of kitchen, equipment, and dining areas
