Job Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally and at least 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand and move for up to 8 continuous hours
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently
- Experience working in environments with variable temperatures, loud noises, and kitchen fumes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Must demonstrate collaboration and teamwork skills
- Must possess excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Must be able to work full-time hours as required to meet business needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Prior experience in restaurant hospitality management especially in high-volume upscale fine dining
- Proven leadership skills and ability to develop kitchen team members
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to utilize scheduling and productivity tools such as TMx
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time
- Must have successfully completed a restaurant training program
Job Duties
- Manage and supervise all kitchen activities to ensure quality preparation and presentation of menu items
- Ensure adherence to Ruth’s Chris Steak House recipes, sanitation, and safety standards
- Perform line checks and maintain high culinary excellence
- Hire, train, and develop kitchen staff including Assistant Kitchen Managers
- Coordinate implementation of new menu items and specials with timely education and tastings
- Order products according to specifications while managing vendor pricing and inventory levels
- Maintain a fun, safe, and productive kitchen environment while supporting high employee performance and morale
