Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred or associate degree with five years' experience
- minimum five years' experience as an Executive Chef within hospitality
- current ServSafe Certification
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Assist in planning, preparation, and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
- use innovation, imagination, originality, and talent to produce menus and recipes that utilize high-quality ingredients within budget
- understand and maintain monthly and annual budgets for Food & Beverage, including documentation of spend on food, supplies, and labor
- review and adjust menus to accommodate seasonal ingredients, supply chain changes, and cost variations
- ensure purchasing standards are maintained and approved vendors are used
- maintain strong relationships with vendors
- accurately report and submit monthly inventory of food and beverage supplies
- interview, hire, and train culinary and back of house staff
- manage and supervise culinary and back of house staff including scheduling, performance reviews, hiring, and corrective actions
- work with leadership to maintain customer satisfaction and health survey standards
- ensure preventive maintenance for kitchen equipment
- manage dietary needs and food safety policies
- control food preparation to minimize waste
- oversee maintenance of accurate daily records
- provide ongoing culinary training
- collaborate with hospitality manager to ensure cooperation between front and back of house staff
- work closely with marketing and activities to coordinate special events
- meet regularly with residents and families to maintain satisfaction
- advise community leadership on resident concerns
- assist with kitchen and restaurant staff operations as needed
