Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts preferred or associate degree with equivalent combination of experience
- Minimum five years' experience as Executive Chef in hospitality industry
- Current ServSafe Certification
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong budgeting and financial management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to innovate and work collaboratively with teams
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Assist in planning, preparation, and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
- Use innovation, imagination, originality, and talent to produce menus and recipes that utilize the highest quality ingredients within budget
- Understand and maintain monthly and annual food and beverage budgets including documentation of food, supplies, and labor spend
- Review and adjust menus for seasonal ingredients, recipe improvements, supply chain changes, and cost fluctuations
- Ensure purchasing standards are maintained with approved vendors and maintain positive vendor relationships
- Accurately report and submit monthly inventory of food and beverage supplies
- Interview, hire, and train culinary and back-of-house staff and assist with front-of-house interviews
- Manage and supervise culinary and back-of-house staff including scheduling, performance reviews, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with Executive Director and Hospitality Manager to maintain customer satisfaction and health survey scores
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs for kitchen equipment and safe usage by staff
- Meet dietary needs and restrictions of residents
- Enforce food safety policies including hygiene, storage, and handling
- Manage control of food preparation to minimize overproduction and waste
- Oversee maintenance and production of accurate daily kitchen records
- Provide ongoing staff training on food preparation and quality service
- Coordinate between front-of-house and back-of-house staff to exceed resident expectations
- Work with Marketing and Activities teams to plan and cater special events
- Regularly meet with residents and families to ensure satisfaction
- Advise community leadership of any resident concerns
- Assist kitchen and restaurant staff at all stations as needed
