Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred or associate degree with five years' executive chef experience
- minimum five years' experience as an executive chef in hospitality industry
- current servsafe certification
- ability to manage budgets and food costs
- experience supervising culinary and back of house staff
- strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- flexibility to assist in all kitchen and dining room stations as needed

- minimum of five years' experience as an executive chef within the hospitality industry

Job Duties
- assist in planning, preparation, and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
- use innovation, imagination, originality, and talent to produce menus and recipes that utilize the highest quality ingredients
- understand and maintain monthly and annual budgets for food and beverage department including documentation of monthly spend
- review and adjust menus to accommodate seasonal ingredients, recipe improvements, supply chain shortages, rebated and contracted products, and cost of goods increases
- ensure purchasing standards are maintained and approved vendors are always used while maintaining relationships
- accurately report and submit monthly inventory of food and beverage supplies
- interview, hire, and train staff for culinary and back of house positions
- manage and supervise culinary staff including scheduling, assignments, direction, performance reviews, hiring, and corrective action
- work with leadership and department heads to maintain customer satisfaction and health survey levels
- ensure preventive maintenance programs for kitchen equipment are conducted
- verify dietary needs and restrictions are met
- confirm food policies and hygiene standards are practiced
- manage control of food preparation to minimize overproduction and waste
- oversee accurate production of daily records
- provide ongoing training to kitchen staff on food preparation and quality service
- collaborate with hospitality manager to ensure front and back of house staff work together
- coordinate with marketing and activities personnel for special events
- meet regularly with residents and family members to ensure high satisfaction levels
- advise community leadership of concerns regarding residents
- assist kitchen and restaurant staff with operations as needed including working all stations in kitchen and dining room
