Job Requirements

  • 2 or 4 year degree in culinary arts or hospitality management preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an executive chef preferably in large, fast-paced multi-outlet kitchens
  • Knowledge of food industry trends, menu concepts, food costing, and people management
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work with PR and marketing for campaigns and budgets
  • Flexible schedule with weekend, night, morning, and holiday availability
  • Food handler certification and alcohol awareness certification if applicable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and restaurant POS and management software

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an Executive Chef in large, fast-paced kitchens
  • In-depth knowledge of food trends, menu design, costing, and people management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with PR and marketing collaboration
  • Familiarity with food safety certifications including Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness (if applicable)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and restaurant management software
  • Ability to mentor, develop, and lead a diverse team
  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts

Job Duties

  • Create innovative and seasonal menus using knowledge of food industry trends and seasonal ingredients
  • Lead daily kitchen operations ensuring efficiency, integrity, and outstanding guest service
  • Supervise food preparation and ensure all dishes are consistent with recipes, portioning, and cooking standards
  • Manage inventory and purchasing responsibilities daily
  • Oversee daily cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and food prep areas
  • Meet financial objectives while maintaining food quality and service standards
  • Foster team development and collaboration, providing training and performance feedback
  • Prepare necessary paperwork including schedules, reports, and forms
  • Enforce health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Schedule labor to meet staffing needs and labor cost targets
  • Facilitate ongoing training and menu education sessions
  • Conduct employee interviews, hiring, training, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions
  • Collaborate with PR and Marketing to create campaigns and manage budgets
