Job Requirements

  • more than two years of post high school education but less than a degree from a four-year college
  • five to ten years of related employment experience
  • advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • oral and written communication skills
  • moderate hearing for safety communication
  • excellent vision for safety
  • moderate speech communication skills
  • excellent comprehension and literacy to analyze budgets

Job Duties

  • plan and manage kitchen staff in procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food
  • recommend menu and procedural changes
  • recommend budget and manage food and labor costs within approved constraints
  • perform essential functions adhering to SOPs and food programs
  • manage third party relations and ordering
  • hire, train, develop, coach and counsel kitchen associates and managers
  • plan and manage food preparation in a safe, sanitary, cost effective manner
  • monitor and control kitchen sanitation and equipment maintenance
  • develop and manage department budget
  • develop and implement menus and backup within corporate guidelines
  • execute and promote accident prevention program
