Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five or more years of culinary experience in the hospitality industry
  • Food handler's permit as required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to meet company motor vehicle policy standards

Job Duties

  • Interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and managing kitchen staff performance
  • Scheduling hours, breaks, and meal periods for staff
  • Maintaining monthly and annual budgets for Culinary Services
  • Documenting monthly spend on food, supplies, and labor
  • Ensuring appropriate inventory of kitchen supplies and tableware
  • Maintaining purchasing standards and vendor relationships
  • Ensuring food preparation and storage meet company and legal standards
  • Meeting regularly with residents and family to ensure satisfaction
  • Coaching staff on delivering high customer service levels
  • Coordinating front and back of house for exceptional food service
  • Collaborating with leadership to meet health survey and satisfaction goals
  • Submitting timely reports and invoices
  • Maintaining employee satisfaction and engagement
  • Delegating tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality
  • Conducting department meetings and training
  • Ensuring proper equipment use for safety
  • Assisting with planning and execution of community events
  • Collaborating with sales team to market the community
  • Enforcing company expectations and first impressions
  • Acting as manager on duty as required
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
