Job Requirements
- Degree in culinary arts preferred or equivalent professional experience
- five years progressive culinary management experience
- self-starter and innovative
- ability to multitask
- maintains a positive attitude under pressure
- demonstrated knowledge of current restaurant industry trends
- passion for excellence and culinary creativity
- knowledge of local, state and federal food sanitation regulations
- purchasing, food storage and sanitation experience
- profit and loss and financial reporting experience
- knowledge of budgets, labor costs and inventory control
- comfortable providing direction and supervision to kitchen staff
- proficient in Microsoft Office and POS
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- exceptional business etiquette and client relations
- ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus
- bilingual (English-Spanish) communication ability preferred

Job Duties
- Achieve company objectives in sales, food quality, food presentation, kitchen safety, sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
- collaborate with the Corporate Culinary Team in creating and costing seasonal menu offerings
- ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, presentation and serving standards
- fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests
- provide timely and constructive feedback and coaching to employees regarding their performance
- schedule cooks and utility workers as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met
- partner with the General Manager in making employment and termination decisions for kitchen staff
