Job Requirements

  • Fingerprinting background verification required
  • ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grip and lift up to 50 lbs frequently
  • strong leadership and organizational skills
  • effective personnel management and development
  • knowledge of dietetics and nutrition is a plus
  • availability to work evenings, weekends, and variable shifts
  • ability to develop proposals and presentations
  • effective communication skills verbal and written

Job Qualifications

  • Six or more years progressive management experience in high volume, multi-unit food service with food production
  • experience in menu and product development
  • knowledge of food presentation, receiving and storage
  • strong communication skills
  • experience with sanitation and equipment handling
  • proficiency in PC word processing and food production systems
  • associates degree in culinary arts preferred or equivalent experience
  • ability to maintain necessary certifications
  • bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Set and drive the culinary vision for food production operations
  • develop, test, and refine new menu products and presentations
  • review daily menus to improve quality, nutrition, efficiency, and cost
  • assist with establishing production standards, cooking processes, and procedures
  • train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and safety
  • perform regular monitoring to ensure adherence to policies, food quality, trends, and customer satisfaction
  • maintain division-wide recipe database and calculate nutritional information
  • coordinate menu analysis and adjust recipes to meet budget goals
  • lead food service management representation on committees and special events
  • manage hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating, and counseling of staff
  • respond to inquiries from customers and staff
