Job Requirements
- Associate degree in culinary arts preferred or equivalent combination of experience
- six or more years of progressive management experience in large-scale food service
- demonstrated knowledge of sanitation and equipment maintenance
- effective communication and leadership skills
- proficiency in relevant computer software
- willingness to work evenings, weekends, and variable shifts
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- fingerprinting background verification required
Job Qualifications
- Six or more years of progressive management experience in high-volume, multi-unit food service with food production expertise
- knowledge of menu/product development, food presentation, receiving, and storage
- understanding of sanitation standards and equipment handling
- strong personnel management, organizational, and development skills
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency in PC word processing, spreadsheets, and food production systems
- bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
- associate degree in culinary arts preferred or equivalent experience
- ability to maintain required certifications
Job Duties
- Set and drive the culinary vision for catering, concessions, and retail food production
- develop, test, and refine new products and enhance existing menu items
- review daily menus and recommend improvements in quality, nutrition, production efficiency, and cost
- establish production standards, cooking processes, and procedures
- train kitchen staff in food preparation, equipment usage, and food safety
- monitor adherence to policies, food quality, trends, presentation, and customer satisfaction
- develop and maintain a division-wide recipe database including nutritional information
- coordinate menu analysis and adjust recipes accordingly
- supervise and evaluate professional and part-time/student staff
- collaborate with department managers on training, coaching, and counseling
- participate as food service management representative on committees and special events
- assist in division improvements and budget development
- respond to inquiries on behalf of food service management
- perform special assignments and support other division areas
- work evenings, weekends, and variable shifts
