Job Requirements

  • A 2-year, 3-year or 4-year culinary degree
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel
  • Previous supervisor responsibility
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of health department rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Attend required meetings and training
  • Compliance with management standards
  • Ability to handle and solve problems

Job Qualifications

  • A 2-year, 3-year or 4-year culinary degree

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise all food production in the hotel kitchen
  • Direct and manage profitable food and beverage operations
  • Provide training and development for culinary staff
  • Ensure compliance with food specifications, portion control, and sanitation standards
  • Control food and labor costs to maximize profitability
  • Maintain high standards of product quality and guest service
  • Attend hotel meetings and participate in management coverage as needed
