Job Requirements
- A 2-year, 3-year or 4-year culinary degree
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel
- Previous supervisor responsibility
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
- Knowledge of health department rules and regulations
- Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- Ability to work long hours
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Maintain confidentiality
- Attend required meetings and training
- Compliance with management standards
- Ability to handle and solve problems
- Maintain regular attendance
Job Qualifications
- A 2-year, 3-year or 4-year culinary degree
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel setting
- Previous supervisory experience
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
- Understanding of health department rules and regulations
- Familiarity with liquor laws and regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Experience with meeting corporate quality standards
Job Duties
- Coordinate and supervise all food production in the hotel kitchen
- Direct and manage profitable food and beverage operations
- Provide training and development for culinary staff
- Ensure compliance with food specifications, portion control, and sanitation standards
- Control food and labor costs to maximize profitability
- Maintain high standards of product quality and guest service
- Attend hotel meetings and participate in management coverage as needed
