Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of five years of progressive culinary leadership experience in a private club, resort, or upscale hospitality environment
- culinary degree or equivalent preferred
- food safety certification required
- experience mentoring and developing kitchen teams
- strong organizational and leadership skills
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
- ability to manage budgets and control costs
- commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of progressive culinary leadership experience in a private club, resort, or upscale hospitality environment
- culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
- food safety certification required
- experience mentoring and developing culinary teams
- proven experience leading multi-outlet culinary operations, including banquets and a la carte service
- creative approach to menu development that respects traditional favorites while introducing fresh ideas
- strong organizational and financial management skills including budgeting, purchasing, and cost control
- ability to communicate effectively with staff and members
- commitment to cleanliness, safety, and consistency
Job Duties
- Hire, train, and mentor all kitchen staff to promote professional growth, efficiency, and excellence
- plan and execute menus for all member dining, snack shack, club functions, and banquets
- maintain the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety throughout all kitchen operations
- develop and manage annual food and labor budgets
- monitor costs and performance to achieve financial goals
- supervise daily production, purchasing, and inventory control for all kitchens
- oversee banquet and event execution with precision, creativity, and attention to detail
- interact with members to ensure their dining experiences consistently exceed expectations
- collaborate with management team to improve the club's culinary program
- attend food and beverage staff, management, and committee meetings as required
- establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen areas and equipment
- work with front of the house staff to establish buffet presentations
- recruit and evaluate job performance of kitchen staff, coach, reward, and discipline when necessary
- maintain a professional work environment stressing ethical behavior with employees and members
- plan and manage the employee meal program
- promote a positive, educational, and team-oriented work culture
