Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of five years of progressive culinary leadership experience in a private club, resort, or upscale hospitality environment
  • culinary degree or equivalent preferred
  • food safety certification required
  • experience mentoring and developing kitchen teams
  • strong organizational and leadership skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
  • ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of progressive culinary leadership experience in a private club, resort, or upscale hospitality environment
  • culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
  • food safety certification required
  • experience mentoring and developing culinary teams
  • proven experience leading multi-outlet culinary operations, including banquets and a la carte service
  • creative approach to menu development that respects traditional favorites while introducing fresh ideas
  • strong organizational and financial management skills including budgeting, purchasing, and cost control
  • ability to communicate effectively with staff and members
  • commitment to cleanliness, safety, and consistency

Job Duties

  • Hire, train, and mentor all kitchen staff to promote professional growth, efficiency, and excellence
  • plan and execute menus for all member dining, snack shack, club functions, and banquets
  • maintain the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety throughout all kitchen operations
  • develop and manage annual food and labor budgets
  • monitor costs and performance to achieve financial goals
  • supervise daily production, purchasing, and inventory control for all kitchens
  • oversee banquet and event execution with precision, creativity, and attention to detail
  • interact with members to ensure their dining experiences consistently exceed expectations
  • collaborate with management team to improve the club's culinary program
  • attend food and beverage staff, management, and committee meetings as required
  • establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen areas and equipment
  • work with front of the house staff to establish buffet presentations
  • recruit and evaluate job performance of kitchen staff, coach, reward, and discipline when necessary
  • maintain a professional work environment stressing ethical behavior with employees and members
  • plan and manage the employee meal program
  • promote a positive, educational, and team-oriented work culture
