Job Requirements
- Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
- Chef certification or formal culinary training preferred
- Serve Save certified
- Certified Dietary Manager certification required
- at least 5 years of relevant experience

Job Duties
- Manage and direct food production and food storage operations
- provide leadership and support in daily operational planning
- participate in planning and standardizing operational changes and cost-saving initiatives
- hire, schedule, and evaluate staff
- perform sanitation, safety, quality, and security checks
- ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- monitor all food service areas in absence of higher management
- collaborate on planning special functions and menus
- stay updated on industry trends and recommend changes
- oversee food purchasing operations
- assess and improve food production functions
- organize and design production documents and work processes
- implement quality service measures and correct issues
- monitor and adjust food production forecasting
- maintain inspection readiness for regulatory compliance
- manage disaster supplies
- reinforce proper food handling techniques and provide training
- ensure patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality
- design and implement patient and retail menus
- develop standardized recipes and presentation standards
- recruit, orient, supervise, and evaluate staff
- conduct staff meetings and training sessions
- assess staff competency and provide coaching
- assist in achieving financial goals
- deliver high customer service standards
- participate in patient and customer rounding and service recovery
- maintain department records and reports
