Job Requirements
- Culinary experience: 3 years
- Kitchen management: 3 years
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work in a healthcare or senior living environment preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and train staff
- Proven ability to develop menus in collaboration with dietitians
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as an executive chef
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- Familiar with the industry’s best practices
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- AS degree in culinary arts or a related certificate would be a plus
- Culinary experience: 3 years (preferred)
- Cooking: 3 years (preferred)
- Kitchen management: 3 years
Job Duties
- Organize and direct the culinary team and management staff
- Help in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus
- Work together with our dietitians on menus and offerings for our residents
- Produce high-quality plates both design
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Lead and develop team and understand how to manage conflict with resolution
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establish a working schedule and assess staff's performance
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
