Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a high end kitchen
- Deep understanding of authentic Chinese cooking techniques flavors and presentation
- Expertise in sushi dumplings and wok cuisine
- Ability to manage kitchen staff and food operations
- Experience in menu innovation and development
- Strong knowledge of health safety and sanitation regulations
- Capability to control food and labor costs and manage inventory
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a fine dining or upscale Asian restaurant
- Proven expertise in sushi preparation dumpling making and wok cooking
- Strong skills in menu development and creation of signature specials
- Exceptional leadership communication and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of cost control purchasing and inventory management
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
- Passion for delivering memorable dining experiences through both authenticity and innovation
Job Duties
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation quality control and presentation
- Develop test and execute new menu items and daily specials that showcase creativity and authenticity
- Lead train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain the highest culinary standards and kitchen efficiency
- Ensure all dishes meet fine dining standards in taste consistency and presentation
- Manage food and labor costs inventory and vendor relationships to achieve profitability goals
- Maintain strict compliance with health safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with management on menu design seasonal offerings and special events
- Uphold and promote a culture of excellence teamwork and continuous improvement within the kitchen
