Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- Culinary arts degree and/or chef certification strongly preferred
- Food handlers permit as required by applicable law and/or company standards
- Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and working in a team setting
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Adherence to company appearance and dress code policies
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform driving responsibilities using company-provided or personal vehicle
Job Qualifications

- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Minimum five years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- Experience in supervising staff and team collaboration
- Food handlers permit as required by law and company standards
- HACCP certification may be required
- Adherence to company appearance and dress code policies
- Strong organization, detail orientation, and time management skills
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform driving responsibilities with company or personal vehicle
Job Duties
- Interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and performance managing kitchen staff including scheduling hours, breaks, and meals
- Maintaining monthly and annual budgets for Culinary Services including documenting food, supplies, and labor costs
- Managing inventory of kitchen supplies, small wares, and tableware
- Ensuring purchasing standards and maintaining positive vendor relationships
- Ensuring food is prepared, stored, and served according to company standards and legal requirements
- Meeting regularly with residents and family members to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Working with staff to provide high levels of customer service
- Coordinating front and back of house staff to deliver exceptional food products
- Collaborating with community leadership to maintain customer satisfaction and health survey standards
- Maintaining documentation and submitting reports and invoices timely
- Supporting employee satisfaction and engagement
- Delegating tasks to maintain kitchen and dining cleanliness and quality
- Conducting department meetings, in-services, and pre-meal stand ups
- Ensuring proper equipment use to avoid injuries and damage
- Assisting in planning and execution of Engage Life events, banquets, and theme meals
- Partnering with Community Sales and staff to market the community
- Acting as manager on duty as required
- Performing additional duties as assigned
