Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree with five years experience
  • Minimum five years experience as Executive Chef in hospitality
  • Current ServSafe Certification
  • Experience managing culinary staff
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including special events
  • Good physical stamina
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred or associate degree with equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years experience as an Executive Chef in the hospitality industry
  • Current ServSafe Certification
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Strong creativity and innovation in culinary arts
  • Ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning, preparation, and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
  • Use innovation, imagination, originality, and talent to produce menus and recipes that utilize the highest quality ingredients within budget
  • Understand and maintain monthly and annual budgets for food and beverage department including documentation of monthly spend on food, supplies, and labor
  • Review and adjust menus to accommodate seasonal ingredients, supply chain issues, and cost changes
  • Ensure purchasing standards are maintained and approved vendors used
  • Interview, hire, train, manage, and supervise culinary and back-of-house staff including scheduling and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with management and staff to meet customer satisfaction and health survey targets
  • Ensure preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment and proper safety and sanitation
  • Manage food preparation to avoid overproduction and waste
  • Maintain accurate daily records and provide ongoing staff training
  • Coordinate with hospitality and marketing teams for resident events and satisfaction
  • Work all stations in kitchen or dining room as needed
