Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior culinary leadership role
- Experience working in senior living or healthcare dining environments highly desirable
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain compliance with health regulations and corporate policies
- Proficient in use of nutritional software and kitchen management systems
- Commitment to upholding company values and mission
Job Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in culinary or dining services
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience managing budgets and controlling costs
- Ability to mentor and develop culinary team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with healthcare cuisine and special dietary needs
- Experience with menu planning and recipe development
Job Duties
- Champion Pacific Retirement Services (PRS) culture by ingraining mission, vision, and core values into all aspects of the role
- Build strong relationships with residents and team members through empathy and genuine communication
- Maintain a visible leadership presence in dining venues during key meal periods and participate in resident and team events
- Lead culinary operations including recipe creation, menu planning, catering, and healthcare cuisine
- Train, coach, and mentor culinary staff ensuring onboarding and skill development
- Maintain rigorous food safety, sanitation, and quality control standards ensuring compliance
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and manage budgets, control costs, and maintain staffing levels
- Partner with dietician and corporate leadership to enhance dining programs and integrate menu items into nutritional software
