Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-4 years related experience or training
  • ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports
  • effective communication skills
  • strong mathematical skills related to budgeting and cost analysis
  • ability to develop solutions and plan ahead
  • compliance with franchise certification if applicable
  • capability to handle physical demands including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work in temperature extremes and maintain safety compliance

Job Qualifications

  • ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports
  • strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • proficiency in budgeting, cost analysis and financial planning
  • ability to develop solutions and plan ahead
  • knowledge of safety policies and procedures
  • franchise specific certification may be required

Job Duties

  • Hire, schedule, orient, train and develop kitchen staff
  • cook and carve meats and prepare dishes during rush periods and special events
  • plan menus and manage food portioning to control costs
  • supervise kitchen personnel to ensure cleanliness and adherence to sanitation guidelines
  • ensure food quality by tasting and observing prepared dishes
  • supervise food inventory, storage and distribution
  • assist in developing kitchen budgets and setting menu prices
  • meet with sales staff and clients to resolve menu issues and plan special events
