Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of high volume culinary/hospitality experience
  • 3+ years of high volume kitchen leadership experience
  • current food handler's card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law
  • strong knowledge of food/restaurant service skills including all phases of food production and service, storage and rotation, food preparation, recipe adherence, plate presentation, and service and production time standards
  • strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate operational information
  • comfortable using a computer and navigating Windows, Microsoft Office, Point of Sale System and Outlook Email
  • bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or similar preferred
  • willingness to perform other duties as required to support the business

Job Duties

  • Create a relaxed destination - promote a learning and training environment for all kitchen members through hands on approach focusing on proper cooking techniques, knife skills, time management to ensure culinary, sales, and service success
  • Set the course - responsible for kitchen operations and to ensure the kitchen team delivers exceptional culinary experience to our guests
  • Build the perfect oasis - manage individual restaurant expenses ensuring budgetary compliance, effectively communicate and justify monthly financial information including but not limited to food cost, labor expense, and supply purchases
  • Support your crew - maintain appropriate staff levels based on projected sales and business needs
  • Proactive in paradise - seek out marketing opportunities within the community and partner with retail to leverage the Retail/Restaurant relationship during marketing and sales events
