Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- culinary or hospitality degree preferred
- minimum 5 years management experience in food service environment
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification or willingness to complete in 60 days
- interest in working with seniors
- ability to handle multiple priorities
- proficient organizational skills
- availability for weekend and evening work
- physical ability to perform cooking duties and kitchen tasks
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to move throughout community and assist in emergencies
- clear background checks as required
Job Qualifications

- ability to make independent decisions under pressure
- experience with budgeting and inventory control
Job Duties
- Works with the Executive Director to plan and oversee community dining services
- coordinate menus for functions by consulting with departments
- control food cost and waste while maintaining quality
- work weekends and evenings as needed for coverage and quality checks
- take and manage food inventory
- control monthly spend downs to budget
- conduct daily workstation inspections for sanitation
- engage with residents during meals
- maintain records and communicate diet changes
- order food and supplies within budget
- assist in meal preparation and cover staff absences
- prepare shift schedules
- assist in menu planning
- monitor cleaning schedules
- maintain coaching and disciplinary records
- participate in resident sales process
- plan menus according to preferences and dietary guidelines
- adjust recipes for yield
- monitor food quality and presentation
- observe staff food preparation and portion sizes
- cook and carve meats
- order and validate food and supply deliveries
- conduct Quality Assurance Audits
- oversee safe food handling and loss prevention
- select and train kitchen and front of house personnel
- monitor expenditures and explain variances
- adhere to MBK policies
- uphold resident rights
- report incidents promptly
- establish constructive relationships
- maintain confidentiality
- promote teamwork
