Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role with leadership responsibilities
- Proven ability to run a profitable kitchen
- Proficient with MS Excel and Outlook
- Valid food handler’s card
- Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- At least five years’ experience as a food services director, manager, or chef with leadership responsibilities
- Demonstrated success in running a profitable kitchen
- Knowledgeable in the use of computers, including MS Excel and Outlook
- Valid food handler’s card
- Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
- Positive and professional attitude when dealing with residents, family members, visitors, and team members
Job Duties
- Lead and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Develop and plan menus that meet residents’ nutritional needs and preferences
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment
- Manage food service budgets and inventory control to maintain profitability
- Train and motivate kitchen staff to uphold high standards of culinary excellence and teamwork
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident satisfaction and address dietary requirements
- Implement emergency preparedness procedures related to the food service area
