Job Requirements

  • Regular worksite attendance
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Post-secondary culinary certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle if required
  • English language proficiency
  • Availability for extended hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to assist in emergency evacuations
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions including lifting and moving weight
  • Ability to work with diverse and sometimes emotionally upset individuals
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and training
  • Post-secondary culinary training with certificate preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in culinary operations management
  • Ability to lead and train kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Oversee all kitchen operations including main dining room, pub, coffee shop, and catering
  • Actively participate in daily food production
  • Oversee kitchen staff and conduct staff training and development
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Plan and execute special events such as holiday meals and cookouts
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and food storage to maintain quality and minimize waste
  • Address resident and family concerns related to food operations
