Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- several years of experience in culinary management preferably within senior living or healthcare
- knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance
- strong leadership and team-building abilities
- excellent organizational and communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and residents
- flexibility to work during key meal periods and special events

Job Duties
- champion pacific retirement services (prs) culture by ingraining our mission, vision and core values into all aspects of the role
- build strong relationships with residents and team members through empathy, genuine communication, and personalized dining experiences
- maintain a visible leadership presence in dining venues especially during key meal periods
- lead culinary operations including recipe creation, menu planning, catering, and healthcare cuisine
- train, coach, and mentor culinary staff ensuring consistent onboarding and skill development
- ensure quality, compliance and safety by upholding food safety, sanitation, and quality control standards
- monitor kitchen equipment, cleanliness, and repair needs
- use logs for temperature, sanitation and waste to ensure compliance
- drive operational and financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs and maintaining staffing levels
- respond effectively to areas needing improvement while aligning operations with budgetary and regulatory standards
- collaborate with Dining Services Director, Registered Dietician, corporate leadership and outside agencies to enhance dining programs
- integrate menu items into MealTracker Nutritional Software System
- develop seasonal and daily menus
- continually evaluate team and program effectiveness for innovation and improvement
