Job Requirements

  • minimum 5 years of kitchen management or executive chef experience
  • bachelor's or culinary degree preferred
  • experience working in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venues
  • current ServSafe certification required
  • ability to recruit, hire, train, and develop kitchen staff
  • strong understanding of budget management and cost controls
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • capacity to stand, bend, walk for extended periods and occasionally lift with assistance

Job Qualifications

  • minimum 5 years of kitchen management or executive chef experience
  • bachelor's degree or culinary degree preferred
  • experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant environments required
  • extensive experience in banquet-style events
  • proven experience managing and developing culinary teams
  • current ServSafe certification required
  • ServSafe instructor certification or ability to obtain preferred
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • strong organizational and leadership abilities
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties

  • adhere to the company's mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
  • review monthly profit and loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
  • work with operations and sales teams to plan, supervise, and execute all events including food and beverage preparation, service, and cleanup
  • assist with cooking when needed
  • estimate food consumption and make purchases according to specified food program
  • schedule staff efficiently to accommodate shifts in business volume
  • work with management to recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff including sous chefs and lead cooks
  • develop key staff members
  • ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
  • supervise and oversee food preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage
  • facilitate and manage kitchen equipment maintenance
  • conduct sanitation audits and cleaning schedules to comply with Department of Health regulations
  • report critical health and safety issues to the General Manager
