Job Requirements

  • Requires culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 4 years of culinary experience
  • Requires at least 2 years in a management role preferred
  • Requires advanced knowledge of culinary principles and practices
  • Requires strong communication skills including oral, reading, and written
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lead and coach culinary teams
  • Must comply with food safety and health regulations
  • Must be able to manage inventory and procurement processes

Job Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of culinary experience
  • At least 2 years in a management role preferred
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to simplify the agenda for the team
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems
  • Oral, reading, and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production connects to the Executional Framework
  • Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques for preparation of food items including production, presentation, and service standards
  • Manage a culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to ensure food quality and presentation
  • Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees on best practice food production techniques
  • Coach employees to create shared understanding on goals and methods
  • Reward and recognize employees for performance
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
  • Complete and maintain staff records including training, shift checklists, and performance data
  • Develop and maintain effective client and guest rapport for business relationships
  • Interact directly with guests daily
  • Aggregate and communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
  • Deliver food and labor targets consistently
  • Focus on margin improvement through understanding performance metrics, data, order, and inventory trends
  • Ensure delivery of culinary products aligns with the daily menu
  • Maintain quality and safety standards for food items
  • Comply fully with Operational Excellence fundamentals including managing waste, standard menus, recipes, and ingredients
  • Understand and manage supply chain and procurement processes using authorized suppliers
  • Implement Food Framework fully
  • Ensure accuracy of estimated food consumption for requisitions and purchases
  • Ensure equipment operation and maintenance
  • Comply with Aramark SAFE food and Quality Assurance standards and all applicable safety, health, wage, and hour regulations
