Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service supervision
- knowledge of County, State, and Federal food safety regulations
- ability to stand and walk for most of the working day
- capability to lift up to 60 pounds
- ability to work in kitchen and dining room environments with varying temperatures
- strong organizational skills

Job Duties
- Overall supervision of kitchen and dining room functions including supervising food service employees
- develop departmental budget and maintain control of food and labor costs
- conduct inventory control system
- develop and maintain departmental policy and procedure manual, job descriptions, and work assignments
- develop staff education plan and conduct in-service training
- implement work standards, sanitation procedures, and personal hygiene requirements consistent with regulations
- hire, train, discipline, supervise, and terminate food service employees
- maintain documentation of orientation, training, warnings, and health requirements
- assess food service presentation and delivery during meal times
- maintain documentation of resident dietary considerations
- procure food and materials using good procurement practices
- maintain electronic POS systems and handle financial functions related to food services
- ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and solicit bids for purchase or repair
- coordinate food service for special functions and events
- be available for emergency situations
- maintain disaster food supplies and menus
- participate in mandatory meetings and conferences
- responsible for kitchen and food services personnel
- perform physical tasks including walking, carrying trays, and lifting up to 60 pounds
- maintain professional appearance
