Job Requirements

  • Education in culinary arts or related field
  • Minimum relevant culinary experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Availability to work full-time with extended periods on feet
  • Compliance with dress code and safety standards
  • Commitment to adhering to HSEQ policies and procedures
  • Ability to obtain or maintain SERV Safe certification

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited culinary institution preferred
  • Experience operating a successful restaurant or corporate dining facility
  • SERV Safe certified or ability to become certified
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to maintain high food quality and safety standards
  • Experience with menu planning and inventory management
  • Ability to train and develop culinary staff
  • Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
  • Passion for customer service

Job Duties

  • Monitor kitchen organization and cleanliness to ensure safety
  • Enforce workplace safety, food safety, and HACCP guidelines daily
  • Create seasonal, regionally inspired menus using NetMenu with at least 2 weeks planned in advance
  • Support café leads in maintaining budget and approved menu offerings
  • Oversee preparation, cooking, and portioning of food for various meal periods and catered events
  • Maintain accurate production records pre and post service
  • Lead culinary training and development of back-of-house employees on operational, food safety, and workplace safety standards
  • Manage inventory documentation, product labeling, and procurement compliance
  • Collaborate with General Manager on financial initiatives and budget adherence
  • Coordinate all catering events ensuring compliance with operational standards and event costing requirements
