Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- Experience in supervising staff
- Food handlers permit as required by law and/or company standards
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive
- Adherence to company appearance and dress code policies
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Culinary Arts Degree and/or Chef Certification strongly preferred
- Effective communication in English verbally and in writing
- Five or more years Culinary Experience in the hospitality industry
- Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and teamwork
- Food handlers permit as required by law and Company standards
- HACCP certification may be required
- Adherence to Company appearance and dress code policies
- Strong organization, detail orientation, and time management skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver's license and ability to perform driving responsibilities if required
Job Duties
- Interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and performance managing assigned staff
- Scheduling of hours, breaks, and meal periods
- Maintaining monthly and annual budgets for the Culinary Services department
- Producing written documentation of monthly spend on food, supplies, and labor
- Maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies, small wares, and table ware
- Ensuring purchasing standards and maintaining positive vendor relationships
- Ensuring food is prepared, stored, and served according to Company standards and legal requirements
- Meeting regularly with residents and family members to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Working with staff to provide high levels of customer service
- Ensuring front and back of house staff collaborate to exceed expectations
- Maintaining department customer satisfaction and department of health survey levels
- Timely and accurate documentation and submission of reports and invoices
- Maintaining employee satisfaction and engagement scores
- Delegating tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality
- Conducting department meetings, in-services, and pre-meal stand ups
- Ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment
- Assisting in planning and executing special events
- Collaborating with the Community Sales team for marketing
- Ensuring staff understand Company expectations and first impressions
- Acting as manager on duty
- Performing other duties as assigned
