Job Requirements
- Commitment to Touchmark’s values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years of experience in a similar leadership role
- Degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Valid food handler’s card
- Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
- Ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working with residents, families, and team members
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Minimum five years’ experience as a food services director, manager, or chef with leadership responsibilities
- Proven success in managing a profitable kitchen
- Knowledge of computer applications including MS Excel and Outlook
- Valid food handler’s card
- Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to work varied schedules, including occasional weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive and professional attitude when interacting with residents, families, and team members
Job Duties
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations to ensure food quality and safety
- Develop menus that cater to residents’ dietary needs and preferences
- Manage kitchen staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Maintain inventory, ordering, and budgeting to ensure a profitable operation
- Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident satisfaction and community events
- Promote Touchmark’s values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion within the culinary team
