Job Requirements

  • Commitment to Touchmark’s values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least five years of experience in a similar leadership role
  • Degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • Valid food handler’s card
  • Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
  • Ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working with residents, families, and team members

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • Minimum five years’ experience as a food services director, manager, or chef with leadership responsibilities
  • Proven success in managing a profitable kitchen
  • Knowledge of computer applications including MS Excel and Outlook
  • Valid food handler’s card
  • Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to work varied schedules, including occasional weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive and professional attitude when interacting with residents, families, and team members

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations to ensure food quality and safety
  • Develop menus that cater to residents’ dietary needs and preferences
  • Manage kitchen staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Maintain inventory, ordering, and budgeting to ensure a profitable operation
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident satisfaction and community events
  • Promote Touchmark’s values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion within the culinary team
