Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- available to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
- present neat and professional appearance
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- ability to pay attention to detail
- prior customer service experience preferred
- must be able to work independently
- able to sit, stand or walk for at least 4 hours
- ability to handle employee conflicts calmly
- able to maneuver throughout the property via stairs or escalator
- able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel
- respond to visual and aural cues
- manual dexterity to use computers and office equipment
- tolerate dust, loud noises and bright lights
- work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
- effective communication skills
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Job Qualifications
- 5 or more years as professional chef for a major hotel, resort or chain concept restaurant corporation
- experience with room service, continental cuisine, high volume three meal/coffee shops, international buffets, steakhouses and Italian preferred
- strong working knowledge of seafood, casual American, Italian, continental, southern, east coast, cajun, Asian and Mexican cuisines
- degree or certification from an accredited culinary arts institute or American Culinary Federation apprenticeship certification, or 10-year equivalent job experience
- ServSafe certification
- proven dynamic and team oriented leadership abilities
- excellent guest and employee focus
- expert knowledge of food storage, cooling, re-thermalization, order management, recipe formulization and yield, knife handling and sharpening, stock/soup/sauce production, dry/moist/combination cooking, pantry and garde manger preparation
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- must be 21 years of age
Job Duties
- Establish leadership and accountability for the culinary department
- oversee food preparation and presentation across all food outlets
- drive menu research and development and ensure timely menu rollout
- manage chefs and culinary staff to meet budgetary goals
- facilitate training for front and back of house during new menu introductions
- recruit, hire, and retain top culinary talent
- prepare and present quarterly business plans and monthly status reports to the Director of Food & Beverage
