Job Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience as a chef or kitchen manager in a food service environment
  • One year of hospitality or senior living/housing industry preferred
  • Ability to plan and coordinate meal preparation
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and compliance
  • Strong leadership and instructional skills
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and quality standards

Job Duties

  • Plan, staff, organize and coordinate the preparation of all meals in all levels of care
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of the food
  • Ensure compliance with resident dietary restrictions
  • Give instructions to cooking staff in fine points of cooking
  • Involved in food inventory
  • Conduct regular Quality Assurance Audits
