Job Requirements
- minimum 2-3 years experience as lead sous or executive chef or relevant culinary degree
- serv safe certification
- valid food handler's card where required
- ability to stand and walk over two-thirds of the time
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- availability for up to 3 special events per semester
- strong problem sensitivity and manual dexterity
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to work 45-50 hours per week
- reliable and dependable
- maintain composure under stress
Job Qualifications
- 2-3 years lead sous or executive chef experience or culinary degree preferred
- serv safe certification within the first available class following employment and maintain
- valid food handler's card if required
- ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- effective oral communication skills
- knowledge of compliance and inventory management software
- proficiency with Greek House Chefs App
- experience with commercial kitchen equipment
- strong leadership and coordination skills
Job Duties
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- modify and create menus that meet quality standards
- recruit and manage kitchen staff
- purchase and order food supplies while managing the budget
- oversee employee schedules and hours
- maintain kitchen cleanliness to exceed health and equipment standards
- coordinate training programs for kitchen and service employees
