Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years management experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, or mall food courts
- Ability to work hands-on approximately 80% of the time
- Strong communication skills
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends
- Ability to manage a team of culinary staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of management experience
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, or mall food courts
- Strong culinary skills across various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
- Knowledge of current culinary trends
- Ability to develop menus that meet food cost targets
- Excellent communication and training skills
Job Duties
- Ensure all food always looks and tastes great and is visually appetizing when served
- Display strong all-round culinary ability and craft skills in all areas of professional cookery including main courses, salads, sauce work, and pastry and baking
- Maintain strong knowledge of food and authentic cuisine
- Recognize and react to contemporary culinary trends
- Use correct food terminology and cooking methods
- Constantly seek new recipes and initiatives to improve food quality and catering service
- Mentor culinary personnel enthusiastically
- Manage purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis, and food production forecasting
