Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings preferred
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Ability to supervise and engage students in various activities
  • Proactive awareness of surroundings
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Plan and deliver after-school activities in sports, art, dance, theatre, martial arts, and urban gardening
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for elementary and middle school students
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure safety and engagement during excursions and activities
  • Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to encourage participation and teamwork
  • Maintain equipment and materials used for activities
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student development
  • Troubleshoot issues and adapt activities to meet student needs and interests
