- ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- must follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines

- ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members
Job Qualifications

- prior experience in environmental services or cleaning preferred
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- basic understanding of infection control practices
Job Duties
- follows infection control practices and safety practices in all activities
- cleans floors
- damp dusts furniture and fixtures
- makes and cleans patient beds
- cleans and empties ash urns and waste receptacles
- washes windows, walls, ceilings, vents and lights
- changes light bulbs
- performs non-routine floor care duties such as buffing and shampooing
- inspects and replaces curtains and cubicles
- checks and stocks soap and paper supplies
- hauls out trash
- moves furniture
- uses various cleaning equipment, carts and products
- maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times
- adheres to organizational and department specific safety standards and guidelines
- works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members
- demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, residents, visitors, staff and the broader health care community
