Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • must follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • commitment to maintaining confidentiality and sensitive data protection
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • basic understanding of infection control practices

Job Duties

  • follows infection control practices and safety practices in all activities
  • cleans floors
  • damp dusts furniture and fixtures
  • makes and cleans patient beds
  • cleans and empties ash urns and waste receptacles
  • washes windows, walls, ceilings, vents and lights
  • changes light bulbs
  • performs non-routine floor care duties such as buffing and shampooing
  • inspects and replaces curtains and cubicles
  • checks and stocks soap and paper supplies
  • hauls out trash
  • moves furniture
  • uses various cleaning equipment, carts and products
  • maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times
  • adheres to organizational and department specific safety standards and guidelines
  • works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members
  • demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, residents, visitors, staff and the broader health care community
