Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- institutional cleaning experience preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to work varied locations and hours including every third weekend and scheduled holidays
- willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 60 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching
- ability to safely operate cleaning equipment
- commitment to maintaining safety and hygiene standards
- effective communication skills

Job Duties
- maintains a safe working environment
- reports unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns
- uses UV-disinfecting robot when assigned
- uses appropriate cleaning products and techniques
- completes area assignments timely
- cleans discharge and occupied units according to procedure
- makes unoccupied beds according to procedure
- spot washes walls and carpets
- stocks EVS supplies as needed
- performs wet mopping techniques
- appropriately uses and removes wet floor signs
- operates and maintains vacuum cleaners
- keeps cleaning carts and tools ready and stocked
- performs additional assignments and assists co-workers
- reports work activity on daily reports
- performs linen handling duties including lifting and stocking linen
- performs trash disposal and medical waste handling
- operates and maintains floor scrubber
- adheres to cleaning policies and procedures
