Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- prior janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred
- CHEST certification required within 6 months of hire
- ability to follow cleaning standards and protocols
- strong attention to detail
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- willingness to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness and make corrections as needed
- follow departmental cleaning guidelines and standards
- perform cleaning tasks including toilets, basins, showers, and interior furnishings
- sweep, mop, scrub, and dust floors
- transport and dispose of soiled linen, trash, and bio-medical waste
- label and remove infectious waste properly
- maintain stock and transport custodial supplies and equipment
- operate and maintain cleaning equipment
- foster positive relationships with patients, guests, and coworkers
- participate in quality improvement activities
- report needed repairs and services
- perform special cleaning projects and floor care
- support the organization's vision, mission, and values
- adhere to continuous improvement principles
- provide and maintain a safe environment
- conduct duties with professionalism and confidentiality
- deliver timely and efficient customer service
- perform additional duties as assigned
